Color grading final cut pro4/4/2024 ![]() Fine-tuning the shadows, midtones, and highlights is done by adjusting the line specific to the points. Unlike the other options so far, Color Curves use lines to adjust the primary colors and luma of the video. Adjusting the tint to the left introduces more green and moving it to the right introduces more magenta.īy rotating the hue control, you can shift the entire spectrum of hues in the image, which is useful if you need to change all the colors at the same time instead of changing them one at a time. Final Cut Pro includes powerful and easy-to-use tools for color grading clips in your video. Moving the temperature control to the left introduces more blue or colder tones while adjusting it to the right introduces warmer yellow and red tones. The Color Wheels option also adds temperature, tint, and hue adjustments, so you don’t have to open separate menus. And, you can make finer adjustments to each of the four wheels by entering specific number values on the sliders below. Now to the downside!!! I am buying into DaVinci Resolve, which I thought was a million miles from my comfort area. I was simply blown away by how Mark Spencer broke down colour theory and gave me a far clearer understanding and consequently more confidence/freedom. I thought I just needed to understand the approach in FCPX. ![]() I had watched lots photoshop tutorials on colour. ![]() This will seem strange a strange comment, but as a user of Photoshop and studying it for years I thought I was not too inexperienced with my understanding of colour. DaVinci Resolve started life as correction and color grading software, so it is fair to say that the color tools available are far more extensive than Final Cut Pro. ![]() ![]() They quite simply have grown into the best online teachers available. Final Cut Pro features breathtaking performance and efficiency on Mac computers with Apple silicon.
